* SSC CPO stands for Staff Selection
Commission — Central Police Organisation exam.
* Through this recruitment, vacancies
for Sub-Inspector (SI) posts are filled in Delhi Police (Executive) and Central

Paper-I (computer based), Physical / Physical Endurance Test (PET / PST),

2. 2025 Notification & Key Dates
* The SSC CPO 2025 notification was officially
released on 26 September 2025
* The application window is from 26
September 2025 to 16 October 2025 Fee payment last date is 17 October 2025
(23:00 hrs) Correction window (for
editing application) is from 24 to 26 October 2025
* The tentative date for Paper-I
(CBT) is in November – December 2025.
Earlier in 2025, the release of the
notification was postponed (it was originally expected June 16) due to

3. Vacancies (2025)
* Total vacancies for SI (in Delhi
Police + CAPFs) in 2025: 3,073 posts.
* Break-up:
• Delhi Police – Sub-Inspector (Executive), Male: 142 posts
•Delhi Police – Sub-Inspector
(Executive), Female: 70 posts
•CAPFs – Sub-Inspector GD (Male /
Female): remaining posts across forces (CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, etc.)

4. Eligibility Criteria
(a) Nationality / Citizenship
* Candidate must beIndian citizen.
(b) Age Limit
* Minimum age: 20 years
Maximum age:
25 years
* Age relaxations apply according to
categories (SC/ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen, etc.) as per SSC norms.
(c) Educational Qualification
* A candidate must be a Graduate

Physical Standards / Medical / PET / PST
* There are prescribed physical
standards (height, chest, etc.), and endurance tests (running, long jump,
etc.). These differ for male/female and category.
* There is also a medical examination
after the written/physical tests.
5. Exam Pattern / Selection
Process
The full selection process has these
stages:

Negative marking is applicable in the
objective papers (usually for wrong answers) as per SSC norms.
* Shortlisting is done stage by
stage; only those who clear each stage move to the next.
6. Pay Scale /
Salary & Career
* The SI posts are under Pay Level 6
as per 7th Pay Commission, with a salary range ₹ 35,400 to ₹ 1,12,400 (approx).
* Selected candidates also get
allowances (dearness, house rent, etc.) as per government rules.
* The position is typically non-gazetted
and classified under Group B or C depending on the force (for Delhi Police,
Group C).
7. Application
/ Fee / How to Apply
* Apply online via the SSC’s official website (ssc.gov.in).
* Steps: One-Time Registration (if not done earlier), fill
application form, upload documents (photo, signature, ID proof), pay fees,
submit. * Application fee: ₹ 100 for
General / OBC candidates. SC / ST / Women / Ex-servicemen / Departmental
Candidates often are exempted.
8. Cut-off /
Past Trends
* The cutoffs vary each year by
category (UR, OBC, SC, ST) and by male/female.
* In 2024, the cut off marks for
Paper-I were in the range (for example, for General / UR male ~ 119–120 approx)
(exact numbers vary by region / list).
* It is expected that the 2025
cutoffs will be competitive, especially in UR categories.
