Direct Recruitment for Computer Operator Grade A Posts in Uttar Pradesh Police 2025

Online applications are invited from eligible male and female candidates for the following vacant posts of Computer Operator Grade A in Uttar Pradesh Police, in Pay Band 5220, Grade Pay 2400, under the new pay scale, Pay Matrix Level 4, Rs. 25500 to 81000:

 Application Fee

The application fee for this recruitment process will be as follows:

A fee of ₹500 is prescribed for General/EWS/Other Backward Classes candidates.

A fee of ₹400 is prescribed for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates.

Eligibility

Nationality

Must be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification

Must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics subjects.

OR Must have passed the 'O' Level examination in Computer from the Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) of the Government of India or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Government.

OR Must possess a Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, or any other qualification recognized as equivalent by the Government.

Preferential Qualifications

There will be no marks for preferential qualifications, but in case two or more candidates secure equal marks, preference will be given as per rule

Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of 2 years.

OR

Obtained a 'B' certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

OR

Successfully completed a course in Computer Hardware and Computer Networking from an institution recognized by the Central or State Government.

Age Limit

As per the Uttar Pradesh Police Computer Cadre Gazetted Service Rules, 2011, as amended by the Uttar Pradesh Police Computer Cadre Gazetted Service First Amendment Rules, 2015, for recruitment, it is necessary that:

The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years on July 1, 2025, and must not have attained the age of more than 28 years, i.e., the candidate's date of birth should not be before July 1, 1997, and not after July 1, 2007.

Character

The character of the candidate should be such that he/she is suitable in all respects for employment in government service. The appointing authority will satisfy itself in this regard.

Marital Status

No male candidate shall be eligible for appointment if he has more than one wife living, or no female candidate shall be eligible who has married a man already having a wife living.

Physical Fitness

No candidate shall be appointed to any post in the service unless he/she is mentally and physically fit. He/She must be in good health and free from any physical defect that is likely to hinder him/her from performing his/her duties efficiently. Physically disabled persons will not be eligible for police services.

Recruitment Process

This selection will be made under the Uttar Pradesh Police Computer Cadre and Gazetted Service Rules, 2011, as amended by the Uttar Pradesh Police Computer Cadre Gazetted Service First Amendment Rules, 2015.

Written Examination

According to the Uttar Pradesh Police Computer Cadre and Gazetted Service Rules, 2011, as amended by the Uttar Pradesh Police Computer Cadre Gazetted Service First Amendment Rules, 2015, candidates whose applications are found to be correct will be required to appear in a written examination of 200 marks. This written examination will consist of an objective-type question paper covering the following subjects:
